Where to Donate Items in the Piedmont Triad Area During Your Move

During a big move, you realize you really have a lot more stuff than you need.  Don’t let this stuff go to waste, donate it!

 Clothes

An excellent place to donate clothing to are thrift stores.  There are many locations of thrift stores in the Piedmont Triad!  One is Freedom House Thrift, located at 1312 Bridford Pkwy, Greensboro, NC 27407, and their phone number is (336) 294-9427.  Another one is Triad Goodwill, and you can have them come pick up your donations for free or go to their location at 106 Muirs Chapel Rd, Greensboro, NC 27410 or call at (336) 315-0277.

Toys

Support the many children in need in your local community by donating your old toys.  Donate to Toys For Tots, who help families who cannot afford to buy toys give their kids presents for Christmas.  Look at their many locations on their website to find their location closest to you.

Food

When you are moving out, don’t let all the leftover food you have be thrown away, give it to someone in need.  Donate your leftover food to Second Harvest Food Bank at 3655 Reed Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27107.  You can reach them by phone at (336)-784-5770.  They accept all food donations provide nutritional meals to those who may not be getting adequate nutrients.

Miscellaneous

Many items that you think can’t be donated, actually can!  At Value Village you can donate items like furniture, jewelry, antique items, and more.
