For incoming freshmen and super seniors alike, the back to college season is about to take over.  Whether you or your child are going from your childhood home to a dorm room, from a dorm off-campus, or straight out of the nest into an apartment of your own, follow these tips and tricks to take the stress out of the end of summer.

A new space is very exciting, and seems full of potential.  Once you start moving in, though, you begin to realize the cramped quarters of your cheap rented room or university dorm can only fit so much.  Before you learn to solve advanced equations or analyze literary theory, you’ll need to learn the lesson of loading into the seriously small space you’ve acquired.  Packing well and packing light are the best steps to take, the following handy back to college checklist outlines what you need, what you might want, what you probably won’t need or shouldn’t bring, and what you surely are not allowed to bring.

If you are a returning student and you used ZippyU to store your stuff while you were off from college for the summer, you know you don’t have to worry about hauling and transporting all of your own things. We will have your shell ready and waiting for you at your campus door or off-campus apartment when you get back.

But if you missed the storage boat this year, print out this handy back to college list and check it off as you pack.  And good luck next semester!
