Former Top PODS Executive Brings Zippy Shell to Atlanta
September 13, 2010, Jersey City, NJ The Zippy ShellSM mobile self storage platform is poised to take the Atlanta Metro Area by storm and is doing so with a new franchise under the leadership of the former Senior Vice President of PODS, Dave Schmeltz. Schmeltz and a partner purchased the franchise rights for The Zippy ShellSM brand from Zippy Shell USA, LLC in Atlanta and will operate Mobile Moving and Storage LLC under the Zippy ShellSM name.

The new Zippy ShellSM franchise, Mobile Moving and Storage LLC will be headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia and plans are to open up in many surrounding areas..

Gavelek also notes that there are other competitors in the Atlanta area including Mobile Attic™, PODS™, 1800PackRat™ and others, but the Zippy ShellSM business model will enable Mobile Moving and Storage LLC to dramatically bring the price down for their customers in Alpharetta, Atlanta and throughout the area.
There were several factors pointed out by Dave Schmeltz as the reason for his investment and this launch. He added, "The Zippy ShellSM offering does everything that an older, traditional portable storage company does but at less cost. And the Zippy Shell container is a registered vehicle which can be easily taken to many places including apartment complexes and does not risk doing the damage that other containers might do.
